the complete meltdown on Mitch game after game? It is frustrating and yet obvious that we are limited at QB. While everyone (at least I believe everyone on here) wants Mitch to improve and be successful, there are going to be games where there are head scratching plays followed by some good plays. Yes, maddening at times. As others have said, "he is what he is" at this point in time. And he is what we have.

What I don't quite understand is the brutal criticism Mitch receives on 20 different threads. Does he deserve criticism? Of course. But by all accounts Mitch does everything in his ability to do the best of his ability. Leader? Yes. Tough? Yes. All American QB? No. But what about all the other variables that come into play? Banged up O line? Young receivers/dropped passes/not much separation? And play calling at times?

I guess my point is, the coaching staff probably deserves a lot more of the criticism than Mitch (and for the record I'm very happy with our coaching staff!). They are the recruiters and teachers. As many have also said, it is one big area they have not done their job. We have what we have because of their decision. If you happen to have an unreliable co-worker/manager/boss do you get mad and blame that person for their shortcomings? Yes, at the beginning. Then you start to wonder why and who ever hired that person to begin with??

There are a lot of people at fault. Not just Mitch. Enjoy the season. It will be over before you know it.
I apologize for the long rant.
