There is an increased push for legalization of recreational use of marijuana in many if not all states... Yet many of those same people have acknowledged the heroin epidemic... A kid I used to tutor in math and history(turned out to be a good student with a bachelors degree) overdosed on heroin after struggling with addiction and died this past weekend so I admit it is a fresh and emotional issue for me...Many of the dozen or so people that have been on heroin that I have known, all say that marijuana usage was the start of their addiction.. How can you want to legalize its usage on one hand, yet try hard to fight against the heroin epidemic on the other, when many admit there is a correlation in usage??..... I just dont get it.
Help me understand this, would ya??
