Posted POSITIVE things about our Gophers... We have exactly 3 weeks until our first kickoff.. I am guessing this board has about as many die hard Gopher fans as anywhere,, We need to build our 'togetherness' as a connection between fans and players...It starts with our attitude towards our players and each other.
I will be the FIRST to admit that I have failed at times in EMPHASIZING the positives. For that, I am sorry. I need to be part of a group to start to build a consensus that binds us together with our players and fellow fans against all those opponents we face. We as fans need to build energy going into the season, as well. We got 18-23 year old men that we analyze to death who are busting their tails for us to be proud of them... We got a coaching staff that is teaching them to believe. We just got to get aboard with it as well.
Some of the posts are honest evaluations but maybe not as necessary as writing things that fellow fans can rally behind... People like Wren will post things that are controversial but I FIRMLY believe he loves the Gophers... That is a commonality that I share with him regardless if i agree or disagree with him. And I have lots of respect for him as a result.. The same can be said for all of us as we are willing to spend money to share our thoughts on our beloved Gophers...Guys, we can do this and I am going to try to do better in posting positive things about the team without being fake.
There is a ton to love about Minnesota so there is a lot of good things to write to build our guys.. If you know behind-the-scenes stories, those would be great to share if its a story that uplifts the program and its players,,,, Many of you do that already but I am writing this to share my love for the Minnesota Gophers... You may disagree with my posts but at least agree that we both want the same thing.. That is continuous Gopher victories with few to no defeats.. Again guys, I am thankful for the people that say nice things about me but lets focus on building those players, on the board, so they know or their parents know that we have the ability to express our love and passion with encouragement and focus on the good stories and memories besides all the analytics...Just some thoughts to balance things out as we approach the season
