At a work function today and Walter Bond was a speaker. The organizers of the meeting know that I am a big Gophers supporter asked if I knew who Walter Bond was and of course I am familiar with him.
Got an opportunity to have a conversation with Walter regarding Minnesota and Gophers athletics. A couple of things he said really stood out to me. He said he Thinks Pitino is doing a good job, but said he Loves what PJ Fleck is doing. He thinks Fleck is amazing coach and motivator, compared him to Lou Holtz in a favorable way. He also said he would want his son to play for PJ Fleck.
Overall, he thinks the football program is on. The right track and likes the direction of the program.
