Jornell Manns' Mansfield Tygers played the Ashland Arrows in the battle of top teams in the Ohio Capital Conference.... Ashland apparently had the better team as they won 46-20... Jornell actually must have had a pretty good night though as I did not attend the Mansfield game but received texts throughout the game from an acquaintance who did attend.... Manns had 3 TD runs including a 92 yard run on Mansfield's first play from scrimmage in the game...He caught one ball for a -2 yards.. But he had 6 carries for 106 yards rushing at half.. Obviously the 92 yard TD accounting for most of that and a 7 yard TD run as well in the first half.... Had a 1 yard TD run in the 3rd quarter as well..

Guys, tonight's opponent, Ashland, has a good defense that was tops in their conference and apparently they were putting 2-3 guys on Manns every time he would touch the ball.. Defenses of Mansfield's opponents design schemes to stop him and he still does this well... He had 70 rushes and 30 catches going into tonight's game.. With 20 TDs so he is scoring once every 5 times he touches the ball. Amazing when you think that teams are designing defenses to stop him.

Plus, Jornell is personable and won Mansfield's homecoming king in tonight's game.
