Kill and Patterson are buddies. It's been well documented. And they had run programs that were pretty similar. and they had the same ideas as far as coaching both the offense and defense. Until a couple of years ago when Patterson went with a new scheme. Now they seem light years apart. Whether it's an improvement in recruiting for Patterson or what it is. To me it's the offense that Patterson has installed at TCU. When you compare his to Kill's at this point it's night and day difference. Where Patterson's is so wide open, and steaming rolling teams, and the Gophers are trudging along trying to pound the rock into the middle of the line. And if you say the old line, it's the players not the system. I will come back with, these coaches have been here recruiting for 5 years now, they should be close to having the players they need by now. I love Kill and appreciate where he has brought us. But sometimes you need to change your system.
