From this week's press conference as they prep for Minnesota:

- Minnesota is going to be big, strong, and athletic. They just went toe-to-toe with Ohio State and they were right in that game for four quarters.

- Expects QB Brett Gabbert to make the start Saturday against the Gophers. AJ Mayer got the start against Cincinnati, where he went 9-of-28 passing for 109 yards.

- Size and physicality is the biggest challenge with Minnesota. They are going to run it and wear you down and wear you down.

- Big and physical on defense. Difficult to run the ball against.

- Very similar situation to this past week, tough environment on the road against a very good team.

- Martin wasn't happy with their defensive effort against Cincinnati, where they gave up 543 yards of total offense to the Bearcats.

- Style of quarterback will be different, Desmond Ridder is more of a run-threat where Tanner Morgan isn't a big run threat in their RPO schemes.

- On injuries: didn't specify any names, but said there will be players who played last week that won't against Minnesota.
