We can confirm that Richard Pitino and Ed Conroy will be paying Colorado State transfer, Prentiss Nixon, a home visit next Tuesday.

Nixon was the Rams leading scorer last season at 16.1 points per game. He scored 1,058 points in three years of play.

Larry Eustachy was relieved of his coaching duties, and was replaced by former Drake head man, Niko Medved. Nixon opted to look elsewhere after the coaching change. According to the Denver Post, he would have to sit out a year unless he was granted a hardship waiver by the NCAA due to a coaching chance.

The 6-foot-2 guard is from Bolingbrook, Illinois. He was also offered out of high school by Bradley, Drake, Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, St. Louis, SMU, UIC, and Wright State.

He will also have home visits from Iowa State today, Illinois State on Saturday, and SMU on Sunday. He is also being recruited by Loyola-Chicago, Xavier, and Marquette.

According to a source close to the recruiting situation Loyola and Illinois State have some ties with Nixon. He played for the Illinois Wolves AAU program. The program is coached by the Mullins family. One of the Ramblers assistant coaches is Bryan Mullins. His brother is Redbirds' assistant, Brendan Mullins.
