Link: Film Review: Michigan State
Michigan State has a roster full of future pros and one of the best players in the nation in Miles Bridges. Offensively, they're more free flowing than in the past and use a mix of ball screens, handoffs, and high-low action. Defensively, Izzo's teams have always played good man defense.

The rotation:
- PG Cassius Winston: Very quick first step, great on-ball defender, and dangerous three-point shooter. Very efficient and one of the best distributors in the Big Ten.
- SG Matt McQuaid: Three-point shooter that's not super involved in the offense other than as a set feet shooter. Smart player but struggles defensively and doesn't do much else other than shooting very well.
- SG Josh Langford: Sophomore and former five-star who's strong and powerful and will likely be a matchup problem for whichever Gopher is defending him, but he's been less than efficient offensively this year.
- SF/PF Miles Bridges: Incredible athlete, scores at all three levels. All-American.
- SF Kenny Goins: Very low usage player -- Michigan State generally lets the scorers score. Big-sized wing that contributes as a rebounder and defender.
- PF/C Nick Ward: Wide-bodied big that ate Minnesota alive last year on the block. He's a Jordan Murphy-level good rebounder. Not quite as foul prone as last year but still fairly foul prone, which is why he's averaging under 20 minutes per game.
- C Jaren Jackson: Key defensive piece for MSU and a phenomenal shot blocker. Foul prone but will also draw a lot of fouls, and he's a good free throw shooter. He's also a good three-point shooter.
