I AM ALWAYS AWARE THAT VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE DONT TELL THE WHOLE STORY.. I HAVE TO SEE THESE KIDS IN PERSON TO EVALUATE THEM CORRECTLY SO I HAVE THESE QUESTIONS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE SEEN THE PLAYERS IN PERSON.
Tyrell Terry - 2019 PG......Looks to have good court sense in knowing where teammates are on offense. I think his shot release looks a bit low but that is something that can be fixed. Looks to be a pretty accurate shooter and fair athlete, on tape.....I am assuming he plays decent defense coming from the De La Salle program. QUESTION: WOULD YOU CONSIDER HIM AN ELITE DEFENDER AND FLOOR GENERAL???
Jarvis Thomas - 2018 PF - Looks a little small for the PF position at a big school.. I heard he has had a good AAU season so far.. QUESTION: WHAT ARE THE STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES IN HIS GAME??
Jalen Suggs 2020 Guard - He looks to have as much ability as I have seen in the current Minnesota HS group, on video... ON TAPE, looks effortless in getting his shot when he wants.. Shot looks good from long range.... Looks like he has gained some height. QUESTION: HOW BIG IS SUGGS(looks like he could play either guard spot) AND DOES HE HAVE AS MUCH INTEREST IN MINNESOTA AS THE GOPHERS HAVE FOR HIM??
Matt Hurt 2019 Forward. - This kid looks like he plays very very well.. Got a lot of skill in just the few videos I have seen.... Seems as comfortable outside as he does inside....QUESTION: IS HIS FUTURE POSITION MORE OF A WING THAN A BIG???
MJH and EJ........What do you think of the Tyrese Martin kid from PA?? He is accurate with his shot but he has a problem in his shot setup that I think D1 defenders will take advantage if he does not get it fixed.....On his preparation for his jumpshot, AT TIMES he takes the ball across his body from his lower left side to the upper right(quickly, mind you) while getting the ball above his head to take a shot.. He turns his body slightly, favoring right foot forward, so it may just look like he is moving the ball left to right in slight hitch when in reality he is trying to get the ball squared to the middle of his body. Gives room for a good defender to slap the ball out of his hands.. Seems like he has good length for an off guard. I understand the Johnson kid is probably going to get recruited harder than Martin but I just wanted to hear what you thought of him as a player.
