Reviewing the scholarship grid posted here, it appears that MN will have 13 seniors, 16 juniors, 11 sophomores and 44 freshmen on the squad next year. The freshmen are almost evenly split between RS and 2018 recruits.
If Fleck recruits in 2019 like he has during his first two years and attrition is low for his prior recruits, MN will have 60 or more sophomores and freshmen on the 2019 team.
I'm still mightily steamed as the way Fleck short-changed his players and MN fans in the WI loss. But looking at how much of a struggle it is for so many top schools to replace their fired, head football coaches, Fleck came in on fire last January and really saved the 2017 class. He also quickly put together an experienced staff. If we hadn't hired Fleck last year and waited until now to change coaches, who would we have gotten to come here that could do what Fleck has done with recruiting?
