NHL stats 1989-90 vs. today

Was on Wikipedia, clicking around like I do and I came to the 89-90 season page ... look at the stats compared to today! Two goalies with a Save % over .90 lol!!!!! GAA all over 3.00, except for Roy (whose S% of .912 was the best). Scoring was at an all-time high, or close to it?
