This rube thought there was really no basis for seeing on-field improvement this year vs last year's 2016 9-4 given what was lost by graduation and the first year of Fleckdom.
Thought 6-6 in 2017 was a reasonable expectation given all the various uncertainties.
Now looking for more than 6-6 based on all the improvements and "surprises" we have seen so far on the field and well documented by the board.
Yes...Maryland and Purdue have gotten all the BTN "surprise" hype and that's good for competitive interest in the BIG. Early ESPN interest in Minny via "Being PJ Fleck" was helpful to the Gophers, especially in ongoing recruiting.
If all the improvements us IGN rubes have been documenting vs 2016 are not a Minny mirage, why can't 8-4 in the BIG/non-con and 9-4 overall be repeated assuming no major injuries or suspensions?
