The Gophers head to East Lansing for yet another chance at a Quad 1 win against the ninth ranked Michigan State Spartans on ESPN at 1 P.M. CT. After a 9-0 start to conference play, Tom Izzo's squad has dropped three straight games, the first on the road to Purdue, the second at home to a struggling Indiana team, and the third on the road against a young, emerging Illinois team. Against Illinois, the Spartans turned the ball over 24-times, 17 of them coming in the first half. Is Minnesota getting Michigan State at the perfect time, or at the wrong time? This is one of the big questions of the day.
I'm really intrigued to see how Pitino handles the minutes of Dupree McBrayer, Isaiah Washington, and Brock Stull in this one. Isaiah has been playing better lately, Dupree has been struggling, and Stull has shooting that the Gophers desperately need right now. Stull at 53.3% (8-15) and Gabe at 36% (47-130) are Minnesota's only three-point shooters above 30%. Pitino talked about getting Stull more minutes. Does he take them from Dupree or Isaiah?
