Fleck said he’d do it all over again. He watched one of his players break his neck at Rutgers. Always wants to be the first person they see and have them know they’re supported.

Fleck said that he believes in his players and wanted to give Walker a chance to hit the 50-yard field goal. Said it’s at the back end of his range but still in his range and that he had the wind at his back.
*** His message to team and state of Minnesota is that “this isn’t the end of the world… everything is still in front of them.” He said the loss hurts and it should hurt, and it matters and should matter, but that everything is still in front of them and they’re now 0-0 in the Northwestern season.
