I was there. Good size crowd

QB-- Brosner is a very accurate passer. A bit of slow start. However, ended strong. Looks like more shorter passes than last year. Drake Lindsay is the clear 2nd team guy as a true freshman. Strong arm is clear.

RB-Major was the star. True freshmen Ijeboi looks like a future star.

TE- Kallerup again will be the big blocking TE with Geers being the receiving TE.

OL- Looks like Carroll is fully moved from RT to RG. RT- is likely going to be Lewis, maybe Daniels. Johnson looked a bit shaky at center.

WR-Spencer looks fast. Had a nice TD catch. Hard to tell who will jump up to the 2nd team level amongst the young guy. Driver has some type of an injury.

DL-Looks like Smith will play DT and DE. He looked good. Logan-Redding is very large and will be a full time DT. Looks like Fennessey will backup Striggow, however it might be Howard. Schwartz is injured again.

LB= Williams and Baranowski look to be even as far as the starting ILB next to Lindenberg. Le Captain is ahead of Stolsky and others, he missed all of last year

DB-Robinson and Green are injured and did not play. Bryan was the starter in Robinson's spot, looked good. Kelly was the top reserve CB. Bryson and Brown are at FS and Gousby and Mc Millian were at SS in place of Green. Perich played some. Nickel was Henderson backed by M c Donald.

P- Mc Grath had a couple of booming punts.

Hot. Lot of guys played. Long practice. Look sharp, not all that many guys injured the way it looks.

I thought Perich might play right away. Good to see Smith and Logan Redding are getting time at DT. I was wondering who would back up Eastern.
It will be interesting to see if Perich forces his way onto the field with his play. With Nubin leaving, the Gophs are missing a big play guy in the defensive backfield.

For now the FS are Bryson and Brown. PJ was asked about Perich and he said positive things and added he wished he was around for spring ball and he is not ready as of now.

Perich already has one of the longest punt returns of the past few years. PJ is a 'safety first' fanatic on returns, so 81 may keep his job despite questionable return skills. Brosmer has a nice arm. See how he stands up to Iowa pass pressure and better than average LB's and secondary. Kudos to PJ for spreading the rock around to different backs and discovering that the tight end IS an eligible receiver.

That was not PJ. Spreading the rock. Brosmer is a mature QB. He knows how to play the position. Refreshing. I hope they turn him lose.

81 is hurt and on crutches...
