Strengths: elusiveness, acceleration
Weaknesses: tries to hit the home run, blocking ability/hands unknown
Cameron Wiley is a 6’2”, 185-pound athlete out of Las Vegas, NV. He currently plays both offense and defense but based upon his film he looks to be a running back with some capability of being a slot receiver.
Wiley is a Reggie Bush-type of back that is extremely elusive and has phenomenal burst. He actually does a decent job at running behind his pads through contact, but he is an elusive back first.
Cameron is a bit of an unknown as his only highlights are a few Hudl clips from a couple years ago and one three-minute YouTube video. He looks athletic enough to be able to catch out of the backfield, but there aren’t any clips of him catching the football or blocking.
His offer list includes Arizona, Oregon, TCU, etc. so there are multiple believers in his ability. Wiley looks to be a home-run hitter who tries to make the big play happen, so he’ll need to learn to take his yards where he can get them. I’m excited to learn more about Wiley as he has a very high ceiling.
MJH listed him as having “some chance” of committing so keep an eye on his name.
