Strengths: athleticism, physical traits, speed, size

Weaknesses: a bit raw, finding a natural position, weak competition

Bargy is a 6’5”, 240-pound defensive end from Momence, IL. He ran the 100m dash in 11.44 seconds, which is absurd for a person that size. From a physical standpoint, Bargy has a ton of potential with the size/speed he possesses. He also plays running back for Momence, which is quite impressive. Jason shows first step quickness and power at this point is his career.

I do want to say, however, that in my opinion there will be a learning curve for Bargy. We may not see him in the rotation until a few years down the road. While he has all the physical traits, he still looks a bit raw to me. He plays at a very small school in Illinois against weaker competition to which he only accumulated four sacks in 2017, so there will be some development needed.

I like his ability now as he plays in multiple spots at DE & LB, so once he gets to campus the coaches can find a spot where he is most comfortable. My guess is he’ll start at the R. I think he utilizes his hands pretty well at this point in his career and is barely scratching the surface of the player that he can become down the road.
