Contrary to a report elsewhere, Jerry Kill, who resigned as Gophers football coach in October, hasn't had any recent seizures. In fact, he hasn't had any since he resigned.

Plans are for the University of Minnesota next week to internally begin focusing on bona fide candidates for its permanent athletics director position.

Overlooked among the multitude of inquiries for the Gophers' offensive coordinator job were former Gophers QBs Mike Hohensee and Cory Sauter.

The left foot injury that required surgery, which was successful, for Gophers QB Mitch Leidner last month was worse than anticipated, but he's expected to recover well.

It will be interesting whether fired Gophers offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover, who no longer wants to be an offensive coordinator, ends up at North Carolina State as offensive line coach.
