I thought those 2 would get the most PT out of the freshmen, for this trip and early on in the season.. This experience is something that I am sure will open the eyes of some of these guys as they get to experience something they normally would not have the chance to do.. It develops interests of these guys as well as the cliche "team bonding". Maybe a couple of these guys may come back and play in Europe as professionals someday.. Who knows??

Dorsey had good numbers today according to what I read on Twitter.. At least in scoring.. It sounds like Murphy had a solid game as well. I KNOW IT IS ONE GAME BUT ITS A START. Minnesota has no other choice than to play their freshmen this year so confidence gathered through production, even in these scrimmages, is great experience heading into the season in a few months. It will be interesting to see how McBrayer and Gilbert develop, as well.. When you bring in those transfers and the freshmen, the NEXT YEAR, these experiences THIS YEAR will build that foundation for those new guys to come in.

Do you think BOTH Dorsey and Murphy start by the time conference starts??? How much of a role do you feel the other freshmen will play this year?? What do you see as roles for our freshmen this year??
