I remember a few years ago, as we were so excited about the new AD and the end of the Maturi years.
Now, we have a football coaching staff that is an absolute unknown. We are the worst team or close to it in hoops. Our hockey team is a nightmare.
Look, I get it that some of the "less popular sports" are good. And p.s., if I wasn't married and over 30, I would be trying my best to hook up with half the volleyball team.
That said, we now don't have an AD, and the main "attractions" as far as revenue sports are all less than average.
I know nothing about the inner-workings of a college athletics department, and I am clueless as to the solution to the problem of having teams that are almost "not fun to watch".
What needs to happen ? How soon can this be fixed ?
I never attended 1 class at the U. I get crap for liking Duke and the Sooners. That said, I want the U to be awesome. What has to happen ? I am almost at that point of just saying, maybe just being better than average is a realistic goal as it just seems like being great is a pipe dream.
