55 feels like teaching again. Gather round and 55 wants to get you smarter. Here is the flaw I see in our developmental coaches we attract to Minnesota.

The ego of I made you and developed you. I saw that with Kill and see it to a lesser degree with Fleck but it’s there. The helmet schools don’t have that same mentality, they are fluid: They develop who they need to develop but also recognize that player that is special and head and shoulders better than the other guys. They don’t need to make them in their laboratory and create a player, that They deserve the credit for. Kill was the worst at this ego play.

Helmet schools work hard in recruiting and know when they land a stud. And then provide some direction and some instruction and this kid is off to the races making plays winning games for the staff.

Is it possible that Dylan Wright our most talented WR was victimized by this ego play?We know you are talented but we need to break you down and rebuild you and then get all the credit for your success. Dylan is like biatch….get me the rock fool so we can win. This dude can’t cover me.

You ask why #22 gets so many reps, if you say yessir and placate the egos you will be a teachers pet and favorite son regardless of production.

Athan is a stud, showed up a stud. He won us two games that we all knew we would have lost without him. Nebraska & Wisconsin but go back and pay attention to some of the comments about his play from Fleck and you’ll hear some of the developmental ego fighting to come out. This kid is a stud, turn his loose. Coach him and instruct him but he got it. He showed up on campus with it. He’s a playmaker and won’t jive with the ego coaching play over the long haul. Bateman showed up with it. The gave him instruction. But he was a a stud from Day 1. So was Dylan against Ohio State, his first game. Then he got jammed up and caught in the developmental ego play IMO.

This ego play from our developmental coaches is probably why our recruiting is so poor at the WR position. Because you must talk to a stud different than a teachers pet. A teachers pet is happy to be here, A stud is like….bruh I got options so treat me right or I’m out. If this staff can’t make this subtle adjustment, we’ve seen the best of Flecks era. If he can make this subtle adjustment. He can build a program we are all proud of. Someone said I don’t like Fleck. Not true, but what I do is that I make rich people richer. I know how to make Fleck elite fa real.

55 is a playmaking stud and if you come at me right, I’ll make you a Champion.
