I think it is a horrible shame the wrestling team only gets 9.9 scholarships to divide up among the team.. I know at Ohio State, no one is getting a full ride including Logan Stieber.. I think his is 90% of all expenses, which is the highest on the team. Snyder is right there, as well. Most guys get 3% expenses paid, or lower. Dont even get me going on the influence of Title IX on this..It is what it is so that is what keeps me from getting angry, thinking about it.
How does Minnesota divide up their wrestling scholarships?? Is that roughly the same as Ohio State and for most programs?? Scholarship athletes in things like wrestling and track seem to get 'shafted' financially but the guys bust their butts anyways.. That is one of the biggest reasons I respect wrestlers at the collegiate level.. Busting their butt for the love of the sport with little to no financial consideration coming their way.
