After
Aaron Philo decommitted from the Gophers on April 10th, Minnesota has been selective in who they offer as they as they continue to evaluate talent during the spring.
Fayetteville (Ark.) signal-caller
Drake Lindsey picked up an offer from the Gophers on April 18th and remains a prime target for the coaching staff after quarterbacks coach Greg Harbaugh swung Lindsey's school to watch the 6-foot-5, 225-pounder throw.
During his junior season, Lindsey put up some eye-popping stats, throwing for 3,850 yards to go along with 38 touchdowns against only three interceptions.
Lindsey will take the next step in the relationship-building process later this week when he arrives on Minnesota's campus on Friday for an unofficial visit.
The Arkansas native is excited about his visit and is also quite familiar with the Minneapolis area as well - he breaks it down with TGR below.

- On the biggest things he's looking forward to seeing on his visit:
"I'm super familiar with Minneapolis, so I’m really just excited to see the campus and see where I would be living and the academic center. Also, just see all the facilities. Already love the coaches."
- On his relationship with Minnesota's coaching staff:
"It’s going really good. I really like Coach (Greg) Harbaugh, he’s young energetic and has a lot of passion for the game. I really like Coach (P.J.) Fleck also."
- On what the coaches like about your film and abilities at quarterback:
"Harbaugh offered me off my film and then came to watch practice and really loved what he saw. They love how big I am and how good my feet are for my size and my ball delivery. Love how I can extend plays inside the pocket and out."
- On his familiarity with the Minneapolis area:
"So, my grandfather (Jim Lindsey) played for the Vikings from 1965-1972 and was a captain of the special teams and also played running back. So we go back for Vikings games."
NOTES FROM THE INTERVIEW: Lindsey said the only other school he's visited so far is Colorado State, an official back in April. He doesn't have any other visits planned currently.
