Today the staff offered Reese Leitao, a 3-star 6-foot-4, 230 pound tight end from Jenks, Okla. who has nine offers, including Minnesota.
Leitao is the first tight end the Gophers have offered for the class of 2017. Jenks High was the No. 1-ranked team in Oklahoma last season and No. 24 team in the nation by MaxPreps.com and Leitao is rated as the state's 10th best prospect, so the Gophers are definitely searching for the best of the best.
