Mike Zimmer hired Pat Shurmur, who was the offensive coordinator and interim head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, last year. All indications are that Norv Turner, the Vikings' current OC, will be back... The RB coach position opened up since Kirby Wilson left the Vikings to be on Hue Jackson's staff in Cleveland. Well everything became more defined today. Shurmur was named the TE coach and former TE coach, Kevin Stefanski, will now be the RB coach.

The Turners, Norv and his son Scott, were the leaders of the offense that struggled at times last year. Scott is the QB coach... The complaint was that when Turner tried to implement deeper drops(7 step) that Bridgewater would struggle a lot more.. The Turners adjusted the plays for Bridgewater so that there werent so many deep drops for deep routes and he became the most accurate passer in pro football. Shurmur comes from a West Coast system of offense BEFORE HIS DAYS WITH CHIP KELLY. Zimmer has always claimed he depends on his offensive assistants to take care of that side of the ball. Will there be too many chiefs and not enough Indians on the staff?? TO me this is interesting.. How do you think this will affect the Vikings, if at all??
