I LOVE his versatility.. If he can get his bat back to 2017 numbers, this was a steal.. If he is productive, the Twins can move him around to a lot of positions to give guys a day off and not lose production.. It will be interesting to how this plays out. WIth a history of injuries for some players, it would not surprise me if Gonzales is a fixture at one position as an every day player, by the end of the year.
Right now, Gonzales can basically play all positions besides pitcher and catcher. I am guessing the starters will look a bit like this
1B -CJ Cron
2B- Jonathan Schoop
SS - Jorge Polanco
3B - Miguel Sano
RF - Max Kepler
CF - Byron Buxton
LF - Eddie Rosario
DH - Nelson Cruz
Buxton and Sano have had injuries and question marks all over, so it will be fun to see how this plays out. At $21 million over 2 years, the Twins aren't planning on sitting Gonzales, that is for sure.
