Football PRESS RELEASE: Discover to become title sponsor of Big Ten Championship Game


CHICAGO, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference and Big Ten Network (BTN) today announced the multi-year renewal of Discover® as the Official Credit Card of the Big Ten Conference. As part of the renewal, Discover will become the first-ever title sponsor for the Big Ten Football Championship Game after previously serving as the presenting sponsor since 2017.



Discover will also receive on-air assets with each of the conference’s media partners, in addition to a significant presence at the game itself including on-field and in-venue logos, as well as signage and on-site consumer activations at the event’s Fan Fest and within Lucas Oil Stadium.



“Our sponsorship renewal maintains Discover as the official credit card of the Big Ten Conference and we will further extend the strong relationships we have forged with Big Ten students, student-athletes, fans and alumni since 2017; it also gives us the opportunity to grow alongside the Big Ten Conference as it expands its national footprint,” said Jennifer Murillo, Chief Marketing Officer at Discover. “We look forward to continuing our relationship with the Big Ten and building Discover's presence with its many conference platforms.”



As part of the partnership, Discover will spearhead an annual community and impact program, and will engage with Big Ten fans by offering Discover card members exclusive rewards. Additionally, this season, Discover will have a presence with their “Discover Locker Room Experience” featuring Big Ten Legends, Digital Photo Ops and more at select Big Ten regular season football games, culminating at the Discover Big Ten Football Championship Game.

The 2024 Discover Big Ten College Football Championship Game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Lucas Oil Stadium, and will be televised on CBS for the first time at 8 p.m. ET. The 2025 Discover Big Ten College Football Championship Game will be televised by FOX, and the 2026 Discover Big Ten College Football Championship Game will air on NBC.
