El Sid

Claeys on with Dave and Sid and he said that the staff had Dave Aranda in to teach them some things. Have to believe it was on 3-4 tendencies.
Claeys also noted that Jared Weyler is battling for a starting spot. I assume the battle comes down to Weyler and Mayes, unless Greene is ready to play and claims the LT spot. Then we have Calhoun, Wright, Weyler and Mayes battling for two spots

Brad Davison commits to Wisconsin

Wisconsin has been the rumored favorite, and just now Davison committed to the Badgers. I thought the Gophers would have a chance given that the Davisons are season ticket holders, but Brad has wanted to make a decision ASAP for a while now and he made the call today. He had such a short time frame because he's the QB and football captain of Maple Grove and wanted the recruiting process over with before fall practice started. His commitment means he didn't think there was enough time to mend his relationship with Minnesota.

Scout.com

An article linked below that may be of interest to some people, as it relates to a bit of drama happening at Scout.

Apparently the CEO was fired after advocating for the engineers and "trying to negotiate on their behalf with the board over late paychecks and unrealized equity." As a result of his firing, the engineering team quit....Later in the article, "Moreover, with no CEO and no tech team (although a source indicates investors believe they may be able to coerce the tech team to return), Scout’s future doesn’t look bright, and there’s speculation the company may be snapped up by either Yahoo’s Rivals or CBS’ 247."

Oh that would make things interesting around here...

Isaiah Crowell post

If you haven't seen or read about his post, I caution it is very disturbing(or at least to me it is). He deleted the post and had some BS crap about emotional and insensitive. NFL saying it was a mistake, blah, blah, blah. To me this is worse than Josh Gordon having a drinking problem, any player getting a DWI or a DE giving repeated blows to the head. He should be suspended indefinitely and be required to do some volunteer work with the cops in the bad part of Cleveland

Best Makeout Songs

Strolling through #CSB's last drunk thread today and came across Van's classic Tupelo Honey. What a great makeout song. Got me thinking about other favorite songs for this purpose:

Staying with Van Morrison - Into the Mystic
Jefferson Starship - Miracles (album version)
Smokey Robinson - Cruisin'
Graham Parker - Wake Up (Next To You)

This is off the top of my head, so I'm sure you will have many more. Enjoy the memories.....

Minnesota's only championship winning pro squad**

**Only 21st century championship winning pro squad.

The Minnesota Lynx made a big statement tonight. I admire athletes who are willing to risk the fallout that can come with real, public social protest.

I know a lot of you aren't fans of BLM, and I agree that they've made plenty of mistakes.

But the only way this country has ever changed is through protest. That's why the Founding Fathers put so much value on the freedom to assemble.

Without the sit-ins, marches, and other similar events of the 60s, African Americans would have never been able to end segregation South of the Mason Dixon line.

At the time, many people believed those protesters were going too far.

For all we know, in 20 years we might be grateful to BLM for helping pump the brakes on the rising police state and loss of civil liberties we've experienced the past 35 years---a process that has increased in speed since 9-11.

Now we just need a group willing to protest the surveillance state. Sadly, I think that's gonna be a tougher sell.
